Having gained his KS2/3 PGCE following the completion of his PhD from Cambridge University, George’s experience of leading, teaching, learning and assessment across a range of programmes including the International Baccalaureate, A Level, GCSE and CE has been formative in helping to develop educational programmes in both primary and secondary settings. At Ryde School on the Isle of Wight, UK, George was part of the team who combined a skills based approach with character education and experiential learning to enhance academic rigour and personal development in KS2/3 which is necessary for success at KS4&5 and beyond. In addition to his school roles, George is a consultant for the Learning Skills Trust, a trustee for a charity that promotes environmental awareness through character development and outdoor education, and is a governor in an island primary school.
